4th Grade...Here We Come!!

Sarah and Samantha started the 4th grade on Monday, August 25. I cannot believe they are in the 4th grade. Where did the time go? They both have the same teacher. I am, actually, thrilled because it makes things much easier for me as far as communication with the teacher, homework, etc. They were less than thrilled, but oh well. They have 19 students in the class. I think that it is going to be a great year!!

The Olympic Games...Community Style

Our neighbors hosted an Olympics Party. Each of the 12 families represented a country. The host family was China of course. We were Switzerland...obviously the largest country at these games (we had the most members at 6). We won gold at the Sand Pass, Bronze at the Belly Busting Balloon Popping, and Silver at something else. We were supposed to bring food from our country. Since we were coming home straight from Ocean City, we stopped off to get some "Swiss" Fisher's Caramel Popcorn (those of you not familiar with Ocean City should know that this is one of the regular foods you MUST have from the boardwalk).

Abby enjoys a Swedish Fish. I failed to medal in the Adult bubble gum blowing contest. A piece of gum was covered in Whipped Cream.

What a great way to end the Summer!!

Ocean City

What would summer be without a trip "down the ocean"? We enjoyed 4 days and 4 nights in OC. It was great to get away and enjoy the sun, ocean, boardwalk, rides, and of course, the boardwalk food. We were able to take a quick boat ride on our last morning.

The Maryland Zoo

We enjoyed a beautiful day at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore. There is a new baby elephant, Sampson. He was so cute!

Abby insisted on bringing her babies to the zoo. And much to our surprise, she pushed that stroller all over the zoo...all by herself...without any help. :-) She's going to make a great mommy someday.
