Andrew's 18 Month Pictures

Andrew turned 18 months old on July 2, but I am just now getting his pictures done. We've just been so busy, there hasn't been time until now. He did have his checkup on July 7. Dr. Gilliard says Andrew is doing great and is still at the top of the percentile chart for both height-34 inches and weight-29 pounds (down 2 pounds from a month ago). As you can see from his pictures, he looks more like a 2 or 3 year old than a 1 1/2 year old. He still looks a lot like Samantha and Abby.

Guess What My Baby Boy Brought Home...?

Not Andrew, the fuzzy, black one. So let me start with this...It had been a crazy day. I had just finished 4 days of intense work for our state department, scoring student assessments. Here I am mentally exhausted, trying to relax on the couch. After Chris left for work, Andrew came into the family room saying "ba...ba...ba" which basically means Boo the dog or ball. I did the usual, "show me" so he goes running into the bathroom. This is where it begins (I promise to get the the fuzzy, black one story). Andrew has thrown a bouncy ball into the toilet (it gets better)...where Abby went pee pee and didn't flush. Oh yes, Andrew did apparently try to fish the ball out of the toilet. So, into the shower he went. For those of you that don't know, we have a walk-in shower in the first floor bathroom. He, also, managed to throw his little basketball in there while I was trying to turn on the shower. I was completely disgusted by this. Not to mention, I had to fish the balls out of the toilet.

Now for the fuzzy, black baby boy. I am standing by the sliding glass door watching Andrew eat his dinner when Sulley shows up on the deck and at the door...WITH A DEAD SQUIRREL IN HIS MOUTH!!! Need I say more. I managed to get him (not the squirrel) into the house. I gave him a bunch of treats, not for reinforcement, but rather to clean out his mouth. GROSS, GROSS, GROSS!!! Andrew kept walking over to the door, squatting down, pointing at the thing saying, "EW!" Thankfully, my neighbor was home, so he came over to dispose of it. What a FANTASTIC FRIDAY!

Hello and Happy 4th of July!! We enjoyed a cookout with Grandma C, and our friends Debbie, Emily and Andy. The cupcakes were so YUMMY...thanks Deb! Chris had to go to work, but while all the kids played (except Andrew, who napped) three game crazed players; Grandma, Debbie & I, played 2 games of Rummy 500 and 1 game of Rummikub. We hope everyone had a Happy & Safe 4th!

Sarah and Samantha enjoyed their week at VBS. They ended the week with a show. Chris and Andrew took some great pictures, while Abby and I stayed home. :-)

Happy Father's Day to all of the Daddy's out there! We enjoyed a cookout with our Grandpa Joe, Grandma C, Uncle Rob, Aunt Kelly, Alex and Joshua. All of the Dads and kids went for a boat ride while Kelly, Grandma, & I prepared lunch. Looks like the boat ride was more fun! :-)
