Poor Andrew

Poor Andrew doesn't even begin to describe what he's been through. What started out as what seemed to be a really bad cold, became RSV Respiratory Syncytial Virus. He started wheezing on Friday night so we visited Daddy at Nighttime Pediatrics. Andrew was diagnosed with RSV and we were sent home with a Nebulizer, antibiotic, and instructions to give him a breathing treatment every 4 hours. The first few times, he cried and fought the mask, now he just sits there. He's much better today, but he's still so congested. There hasn't been much sleep in our house (except for Sarah, Samantha, & Abby...they'll sleep through anything!).

Ballerina Babes

This week was visitation week for both Sarah and Abby's ballet classes. They are both doing a fantastic job. They have learned SO much since September. I was amazed at Sarah's concentration during the demonstation of skills. Abby... well I laughed quite a bit. She and the other girls were so cute. The video is from Abby's class. It is about 3 minutes long. I hope it makes you giggle as much as it made us giggle. :-)

Look Who's Walking

What a gorgeous day! Is it the middle of January or early April? Andrew walked (with his walker) all over the cul-de-sac for about an hour. He spent quite a bit of time just standing, too.

Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus & The Jonas Brothers Concert

I think it may have been the best concert I have ever been to. We had AWESOME seats. However, as I am typing this, my ears have this constant swooshing sound that won't go away. At one point I went out to the concession stand and I saw the food service person's lips moving, but couldn't hear a darn word. :-)

The Jonas Brothers were the opening act. They sang SOS, The Year 3000, and a bunch of others that I am sure Sarah and Samantha could name (but they are in bed right now. We got home around 11 pm). Next was a very short break, then Hannah Montana came out. Then, the Jonas Brothers came out again to sing Everywhere We Go...with Hannah. Then she went in to change to Miley while the Jonas Brothers sang again. Miley came out, sang even more songs, asked everyone to say Happy Birthday to her sister, had a huge finale and did 1 encore song. We heard on the radio that this was the last concert with the Jonas Brothers.

All in all, we had SO much fun!! We even ran into a few people we knew. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Andrew's Birthday Party!!

Thank you so much to everyone that took the time out of their busy Saturday, to help us celebrate Andrew's 1st Birthday. We had a total of about 45 children and adults. Our house looked like a daycare center while we we watched the Redskins lose to the Seahawks. :-(

Andrew loved his AWESOME Airplane birthday cake. He had his own mini airplane cake. Of course, that was not enough, so he reached over and grabbed a piece of cake off of Julie's plate...and shoved it in his mouth.

Thank you all so much for the terrific boy books and toys.

Now we have some trucks and cars for Andrew to play with instead of baby dolls and tea sets.

Andrew had his 1 year Well Visit yesterday.

Do you remember when?

Well, Andrew had an EVENT filled 1st Birthday. First, he got his haircut at Cartoon Cuts. He was pretty good. I didn't get any pictures because he had to sit in my lap. Next, he got his 1st pair of walking shoes...so cute. Then, he had his picture taken. Andrew is such a little model. He would hold his smile until the photographer took his picture. It was sooooo cute. It only took about 10 minutes for his "shoot". We ended our mall trip with a ride on the carousel. He was really mad when Chris took him off his horse.

After Sarah & Samantha came home from school, we made cupcakes to celebrate Andrew's big day. My girls were so dainty and unsure about the whole cake thing...Andrew grabbed the cupcake with one hand and shoved it in his mouth. As a matter of fact, he had 2 cupcakes AND started licking his bib to get the crumbs. You've got to watch the video...it's so funny!

He ended the big day with a bubble bath with Abby. Then, there was silence and all of a sudden I hear a frantic "Mommy, Andrew pooped, Andrew pooped in the tub!" I just reminded him that no matter how much he looks like me, he is his Daddy in many ways. :-)

Happy New Year 2008!

Happy New Year! Where does the time go? Is it really 2008?

What a crazy and fun night. We went down to our friends and neighbor's for their, now annual since last year, New Year's Eve Party. Chris had to work so I put Andrew and Abby in the stroller and off we went. I put Andrew to bed in his Pack N Play in their guest room around 9 pm. He slept all night. Abby played dress up and baby dolls with all the girls. Sarah and Samantha enjoyed the evening with all the other girls and boys from the neighborhood. (*Just a side note, have I mentioned how much we love this neighborhood...there is always a party or gathering and everyone gets along so well.) The adults played darts and talked all night long. We rang in the New Year with Champagne and Sparkling Cider. I got the real stuff this year. :-)

Poor Chris left work at midnight, but got caught up at a sobriety check point for about 45 minutes. We were the only ones left at the party. Believe it or not, all 3 girls stayed awake until we walked home at 2:15 am. Thankfully, Andrew slept until 8:30 am, Sarah and Samantha until 11 am and Abby woke up at noon. Those party girls...just like Mommy and Daddy.
