We enjoyed a family trip to Baughers Orchard for an afternoon of apple picking. We found this place listed on a website for Pick Your Own Farms. Boy, did we hit the jackpot. They had a free petting zoo which consisted of pigs, bunnies, guinea pigs, chicken and then in the fenced area for petting and feeding were goats and a pony. We also saw an Emu and bull. The kids had a blast feeding the animals. Unfortunately, a poopy goat backed into poor Andrew who ended up having his shirt washed with a bar of Ivory soap. GROSS!
We went from there to the hayride out to the apple orchard. We picked a bushel of apples in no time. Of course, Andrew sampled many of the apples, right off the tree. After the apple picking, we drove down the road to Baughers Restaurant. Oh my gosh, it was great homecooked food at a fantastic price.
